What to know about First Bank of Newton becoming INTRUST Bank

On November 9, 2019, subject to regulatory approval, First Bank of Newton will merge with INTRUST Bank. When we open as INTRUST Bank on November 12, we are excited to offer greater accessibility, and expanded personal and business services. And, you'll see the same commitment to customer service and community support you've grown to expect from your bank.

WHAT TO KNOW

Right now, you can access any INTRUST Bank ATM with a First Bank check/debit card, or ATM card free of charge, in many communities, such as Wichita, El Dorado, Manhattan, and Kansas City. This includes ATMs inside of Wichita area QuikTrips.

Specific information regarding your account(s) and the services INTRUST Bank offers will be mailed to you in early October.

What to do?

Customers will not need to take any action on their accounts unless otherwise notified by First Bank or in the account information letter mailed in early October.

Will my account number change?

Your account number will remain the same unless you have been specifically notified by First Bank.

What do I need to do if I have automatic payments for bills set up through:

My check/debit card
You can continue using your check/debit card for automatic payments until it expires, and information on how to re-establish your payments will be provided when a new card is sent to you.

My checking account
There is no need to adjust any automatic payments for bills set up through a checking account, unless you have been specifically notified by First Bank.

If I have direct deposit, will I need to notify my employer or the government about the change?

Beginning November 12, your direct deposits will automatically post to your INTRUST account and the direct deposit originator will be notified to change the routing number. However, if you have been specifically notified that your account number will change, you will need to contact the direct deposit originator to change your account number on November 12.

Where can I learn more?

Stop by anytime or call us at 316-283-2600 with questions. We will also have updates on our website between now and November 12.
